Supporting PizzAut’s “Palestre di Autonomia Abitativa” Project for the Independence of Youth with Autism
Thanks to the outstanding success achieved by the GourmAut sandwich across all our participating stores in Italy between July and October 2025, we have successfully donated €150,000 to PizzAut Onlus.
This contribution will directly fund the “Palestre di Autonomia Abitativa” (Housing Autonomy Hubs) project. Our objective is clear: to provide young autistic men and women with the essential spaces and resources required to experience independent living.
Specifically, our support will enable PizzAut Onlus to purchase the fourth apartment destined to expand the CasAutentica project, located near the restaurant in Cassina de’ Pecchi.
However, our commitment to inclusion does not stop here:
- Edoardo’s Journey: Our collaboration began in 2023 with the hiring of Edoardo. After gaining valuable experience at PizzAut in Monza, Edoardo is now ready for an exciting new chapter: starting in 2026, he will be working at our iconic Mercato del Duomo store in Milan.
- The “Employment Relay”: For us, inclusion operates as a virtuous professional relay. We will be hiring another young man or woman with autism who, following Edoardo’s path, will initially complete a secondment placement at PizzAut in Monza.
This synergy is now well-established: last year, the campaign tied to GourmAut sales contributed to purchasing the food truck for the PizzAutobus project. Furthermore, we are deeply honored that our joint dedication to inclusion was internationally recognized with the Highly Recommended – People & Planet Award: Diversity & Inclusion Champion in 2024.
This collective milestone is shared directly with all our customers who chose the GourmAut sandwich: thanks to you, we can continuously build tangible opportunities for professional autonomy and social inclusion.
