Concept: Autogrill as Oasis

This work by Mrfijodor (Fijodor Benzo) grew out of research on Tuscany’s wetlands, such as the Orbetello WWF Oasis. Autogrill is evolving into a narrative refuge where flamingos and herons can live, thus creating a poetic parallel between natural migration routes and motorway traffic flows.

Dual reading and visual storytelling

This mural plays on distance:
Speed: from a distance, iconic and instantly recognizable forms strike the eye of people driving past.
Stop-off: : from closer up, the surfaces reveal a world of dreamlike details inviting us to slow down and not consider the landscape a mere backdrop.
